Friendly basketball match between APU Eagles and CIS

“The friendly girls’ basketball match between APU Eagles and Canada International School - CIS was the first basketball game of this season. APU students and staff went to cheer for the event. Before the game started, APU students gathered in Phu Tho basketball court, District 11 to cheer for the players. The referee’s whistle signaled that an intensive game was about to begin. The crowd went crazy when Linda, our team’s center, scored the first basket. We put our full mind into their game and scored continuously. With teamwork, we won the first half with a score of 8 to none. The CIS players were polite and friendly. During the game, whenever they accidentally bumped into us, they apologized. My team highly appreciated the CIS girls’ good sportsmanship and good faith. After five minutes break, we were back into the game. Both teams were on fire. Even at this point, there were no sneaky fouls or misbehaving going on in the game. When the second half was over, the score was 16-0. CIS, in all their good sportsmanship, gave us a nice and friendly handshake even though they lost the game. Through the game, my team members were inspired by the fair play and good sportsmanship of CIS’s girls. We won the game with a great sense of teamwork and passion for basketball”. Mary- Former team captain.
