US Education
Since its inception in 2004, APU has provided a pathway to US universities by delivering a quality American education in Vietnam. We offer a rigorous curriculum approved by the state of California. As one of the first in Vietnam to model this US approach toward learning, we continue to refine our model according to leading research. Please explore the links below to discover our approach and the unique opportunities offered by APU.

Critical Thinking
Classroom instruction challenges students to think critically by analyzing and solving problems.

Cooperative Learning
Working in groups enables students socially, encouraging them to be responsible, to cooperate and collaborate.

Essential Questions
Students investigate and curate understanding based on the focused instruction that connects students’ lived experiences and interests to disciplinary problems in the world.

Project Based Learning
Students work on solving a complex problem through active, hands-on projects developing skills in critical thinking, communication, and creativity.

Learning for Life
Knowledge gained in the classroom is a basis for life-long learning as students continue to view, challenge, and understand the world outside of the classroom.

Student Centered Learning
Our educational programs, learning experiences, instructional approaches, and academic-support strategies are intended to address the distinct learning needs, interests, aspirations, or cultural backgrounds of individual students and groups of students.
