APU GRADUATES FROM THE CLASS OF 2024 SECURED OVER 25 MILLION USD IN SCHOLARSHIPS, WITH TOP STUDENTS RECEIVING FULL AWARDS WORTH UP TO $130,000.

On May 25th, 2024, APU American International Schools and the American University in Vietnam - AUV solemnly held a Graduation Ceremony to celebrate and reward excellent students of the Class of 2023-2024. The ceremony took place at Eagle Arena, located on a lush green campus up to 31 hectares of APU & AUV, in Da Nang city.

As it is every year, this year’s ceremony was conducted in the style of American high school graduations, featuring distinguished participants including government representatives, media agencies, national and international guests, teachers, parents, and the exceptional graduating class of 2024. In addition to speeches from the principals of both schools, this year's proceedings included testimonials from parents and APU alumni who are now Masters holders, PhDs, Dentists, and Successful Businesspeople in the United States. Unable to hide her emotions, Founder and Chairwoman of APU Educational Development Group, Dr. Binh Tran congratulated all her students and gave them her best wishes in the desire that they will continue to strive toward and achieve their dreams in the future.

At the 2023-2024 Graduation Ceremony, there are 98 graduates at APU American International Schools, of which 95% of students achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher. An incredible 22 students achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA. APU selected two Valedictorians, one from Saigon and one from Da Nang and a total of seven Salutatorians from both schools. APU honored all students for their excellent academic performances, their commendable behavior, and their outstanding extracurricular contributions.

Their impressive academic achievements have led to APU students from the class of 2024 being awarded scholarships from prestigious universities all over the United States with a total value of over $25 million USD. Many students received scholarship offers with values in excess of $100,000 USD. This amount continues to be updated with scholarships from other reputable Universities. In particular, valedictorians and salutatorians with academic achievements exceeding 4.0 can receive full scholarships worth up to 130,000 USD. This list is continuously updated with offerings from many prestigious universities around the world.

In addition, 28 APU G11 students earned a sufficient number of credits and high enough GPAs to complete their studies one year early, as Juniors, once again affirming APU provides a standard American education that helps students shorten their study time up to 1 to 2 years while still receiving the highest quality education to prepare them for university studies. Many APU high school graduates have earned spots on their university’s Dean’s Lists honoring outstanding academic achievements or been chosen to be teacher’s assistants for professors at their universities despite being freshmen or sophomores.

Through the annual scholarship program, 100% of APU graduates have received scholarship offers from prestigious universities in the United States and Canada, Australia such as Arizona State University, UMKC, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Riverside, UC Merced, UC Santa Cruz, Cal State Long Beach, Virginia Commonwealth University, Florida Institute of Technology, Wentworth Institute of Technology, American University in Vietnam, Central Michigan University, University of Connecticut, Purdue University, University of Washington, University of Illinois , University of Massachusetts, The University of British Columbia, The University of Sydney...… These scholarships are great opportunities to help students fulfill their dreams through continuing their studies at world-class institutions of higher learning.

With the goal of supporting its graduates in admission at top American universities and graduate schools, the American University in Vietnam (AUV) announced scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition and fees for exceptional APU graduates. These scholarship helps students receive the best financial support when completing a bachelor's degree program (BA/BS) at AUV and then continuing directly to other prestigious universities in the United States to achieve a Master's or Doctoral degree without GMAT/GRE, or students can choose to study the program at AUV and easily transfer to other prestigious universities in the United States.

In addition, Dr T. McCay, President of the American University in Vietnam - AUV, delivered a speech summarizing the outstanding achievements of AUV students during this graduation ceremony. He also announced the official graduation recognition for AUV graduates. These outstanding graduates have not only excelled in their academic studies and personal development but have also demonstrated remarkable achievements in national and international competitions, extracurricular activities, and community service endeavors. Their accomplishments are a source of immense pride and joy for themselves, their families, and the entire AUV community. They serve as a powerful inspiration and motivation for faculty and staff, driving AUV's continued commitment to fostering excellence in education and holistic student development.

Dr. Dang Van Huan, Director of the Support for Autonomous Higher Education Project for Vietnam, MOET, was also present to join in the celebration and congratulate APU American International Schools and the American University Vietnam - AUV on a remarkably successful academic year.

Every year, 90% of APU alumni who choose to study abroad, primarily in the US, achieve excellent results in their first semesters, routinely earning Dean’s List honors and being selected to serve as teaching and research assistants. This is a direct result of the advanced academic foundation built and maturity developed by students while they attend high school at APU. These academic achievements continue providing great pride to the parents who have believed in APU enough to entrust the school with their children for the past 20 years.

In addition, APU’s Credit Accumulation program helps students shorten the time and reduce the cost to complete university programs in the United States. APU American International Schools also encourage students to enroll in the College Bridge Program (Dual Enrollment Program) offered exclusively at APU. These special programs were established by the APU Educational Development Group in cooperation with partner universities in the United States. Through taking advantage of these programs, APU students can get a two-year head start on their bachelor’s degrees in the United States. This is a special advantage available only to APU students. Others wanting to participate in this program must have SAT scores above the 90th percentile to be accepted.

APU American International Schools is licensed by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training to teach American programs to Vietnamese and foreign students. The program at APU is a system with a close link between the knowledge and skills needed for students from kindergarten to 12th grade so that after high school, students are able to successfully study at the world’s best universities, primarily those in the United States. Upon graduation from APU, students are granted direct admission to prestigious universities worldwide without the need for IETLS/SAT/ACT or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. These universities include renowned institutions in the United States such as the University of California system (UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine), FIT, VCU, CMU, ASU, UMKC, California State University, and CWU; in Canada, the University of British Columbia; in South Korea, Korea University and Yonsei University; and in Australia, the University of Sydney (unconditional offer of admission) and the Australian National University. Furthermore, students at The American University in Vietnam - AUV can complete a Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in 3-4 years at AUV and receive direct admission to Master's programs (MA or MS) at prestigious universities without the need for GRE or GMAT entrance exam scores.

APU has successfully met the requirements of CIS and Cognia’s rigorous and comprehensive evaluation process.
