The Vienna Energy Forum (VEF), established in 2008, brings together leading experts, senior government representatives, and practitioners from all over the world to discuss practical solutions to sustainable development in the energy sector and the global climate actions. The Youth for VEF Challenge is a youth-focused multi-national competition organized by VEF, and is supported by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). This competition requires Gen-Z participants to identify the energy problems in their local community and provide solutions to those challenges.
Participating in the event this year, our APU students brought many interesting perspectives on the energy issues that they observe daily. They effectively illustrated the issues and sent a strong message through their creative works. In addition to receiving recognitions from the organizer, our talented students and their works were featured at the 3-day Vienna Energy Forum 2021 from the 5th to 7th July.
Congratulations to our APU Eagles for their wonderful accomplishments! We believe that with these international events, APU students have stepped out of their comfort zone as well as broadening new knowledge to come up with potential ideas for the sustainable development goal of society in the future.
