Recently, Dr. Tran Nguyen Thy Binh, Founder & Chair of The American University In Vietnam - AUV Board of Trustees, Superintendent of APU American International Schools, led an official delegation on a visit and working trip to Utah State University (USU), USA. This visit marks a significant milestone in strengthening international academic partnerships and expanding global learning opportunities for AUV students.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with the President of USU, the Management Board of Schools, and Dr. Heravi-Founder of the Heravi Peace Institute (USU). These meetings focused on fostering collaborative initiatives and advancing shared academic goals.

One of the most memorable highlights of the trip was Dr. Thy Binh’s recognition at the Heravi Peace Institute. In acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions to strengthening educational cooperation and friendship between the two institutions, Dr. Heravi personally presented her with a Certificate and the Special Global Peace Medal. The ceremony was held in a formal and distinguished atmosphere, accompanied by heartfelt congratulations from the USU President and leadership team.

In addition, both sides held extensive discussions on key areas of collaboration:

• Academic Pathways Development: Establishing credit transfer frameworks and joint academic programs in key fields such as Nursing.
• Scholarships and Exchange Opportunities: Working with the Global Engagement Office to expand scholarship funds and international exchange programs for both students and faculty.
• Research Capacity Enhancement: Visiting state-of-the-art laboratories and creative spaces, including the USU Art Gallery, to explore internationally standardized facilities and operational models.

The meeting once again reaffirmed AUV’s long-term vision of becoming a leading multidisciplinary institution. Strategic partnerships with prestigious universities like USU not only support AUV’s commitment to delivering advanced educational environments but also highlight its dedication to unlocking the full potential of Vietnamese students in the global arena.
