On March 24th, Parent Teacher Conferences were held at APU Ho Chi Minh City, but this time with an exciting addition. Not only did the parents gather, but APU students were there to organize their own Science Fair showcasing the science projects that they spent the last two months working on.

Students worked on a wide range of projects, many of which had strong applications in the real world, ranging from sustainable energy sources, public health (antibiotics resistance, hygiene, and water filtration) to development issues (low-cost products and engineering systems for underserved communities in Vietnam).

Three prizes were awarded to our students, including:

1. Best Video Presentation: “Comparison between Aquaponics and Traditional Farming”
2. Best Poster Award: “The Cleanliness between gloves, washed hands and bare hands”
3. Best Science or Engineering Project: “Mini Air Conditioner”

After the showcase on PTC Day, our APU students plan to enter their projects into bigger competitions against other international schools in HCMC.  We wish them all the best in their competition, we are very proud!
