APU American International Schools is incredibly proud to share the exciting news of the outstanding achievement of our talented alumnus, Nguyen Ngoc Mai Thy (Julie) - APU's Salutatorian!

Julie has excelled by securing admission letters from three of the top prestigious universities in the United States:
1. University of California - UC Berkeley (UC Berkeley) - Ranked #1 among public universities and #15 among national universities in the U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges" rankings for 2024.
2. University of California - Davis (UC Davis) - Ranked #6 among public universities in the U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges" rankings for 2024.
3. University of California - Irvine (UC Irvine) - Ranked #10 among public universities  in the U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges" rankings for 2024

Surpassing over thousands of transfer applications to gain acceptance into these most coveted universities in the United States, Julie has chosen UC Berkeley - the breeding ground for future world leaders - as her "destination" for her university journey. At this prestigious institution, Julie is determined to pursue a double major in Philosophy in Law and Psychology.

Before achieving this remarkable feat, Julie was an active and prominent student at APU. APU's educational environment, with its high-quality, internationally standardized curriculum, provided Julie with a solid foundation to confidently integrate into the foreign education system. At APU, Julie also made her mark with other impressive achievements, including the ESLR Award and the First Prize in the Lantern Making Competition in 2020.

In the US, Julie has not only honed her knowledge but also developed her character and actively participated in community service activities as VCSA OCC Officer and Event Coordinator.
