APU ALUMNI DANG KIM THI

With her deep love of the American people and culture, it was only natural that after graduating from APU in 2010, Dang Thi Kim Thi would decide to study abroad and pursue a career in the US. Currently, Kim Thi works as a pharmacist, a distinguished profession in the United States.

During her time at APU American International School, Kim Thi was a model student, popular not only for excellent academics but also because of her extracurricular activities. By the time she graduated from APU, she was well prepared with motivation, commitment, confidence, and all the other soft skills needed for future success. In addition, the international environment and her understanding of a standard American program at APU allowed Kim Thi to transfer easily to University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at UMKC and won many prestigious awards. Her research project, "Alcohol Use Disorder," was published in the Medical Journal in 2018. After many years of hard work and dedication, Thi has just earned her Doctor of Pharmacy at University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), and she looks forward to a very promising career.

Thi tells us, “I would like to express my sincere thanks to Dr. Binh and all the APU staff for giving me an excellent opportunity to develop into who I am today. Thanks to APU, I have more confidence and bravery to conquer my dreams.”
