APU ALUMNI KIM SO YEON

Let’s meet Kim So Yeon, a talented APU student from Korea who graduated from the 2021 class with outstanding achievements. So far, So Yeon has received admission and scholarship offers from ten prestigious universities in the United States and South Korea, with a total scholarship value of 338,000 USD.

During her time at APU, Kim So Yeon is always an active student as she loves to join school projects and extracurricular activities. She was also the Vice President of the A{U Student Council where So Yeon and her friends have gained a lot of knowledge and experiences through organizing student events at school.

However, few people know that when So Yeon began her studies in Vietnam, she tackled numerous challenges due to cultural differences, language barrier, different time zones, homesickness…etc. With a strong passion in Vietnamese culture, So Yeon has transformed from a shy girl into an proactive and confident student who has found her own inspiration and confidence thanks to the help from her APU teachers. So Yeon stated that: “I think being an APU student is the best thing that has happened to me so far because I was able to meet new friends who were always with me. Moreover, I had numerous kind and dedicated teachers who were all very supportive to me which I am very thankful for. To me, APU is like my second home when I always feel being welcomed by everyone and being provided with the best conditions to unlock new opportunities”

Kim So Yeon has also shared her future plan that she will return to Korea to attend Yonsei University – the top 2 prestigious universities in Korea that has been in her wishlist. Let’s wish Kim So Yeon the best of luck on her upcoming adventure.
