️“Studying at APU and AUV was a very important event in my academic career. APU, AUV and Dr. Binh Tran provided me with an American academic structure where the courses I undertook at APU and AUV were equivalent and eligible to transfer to American universities. APU also had some great college preparation programs (College Bridge Program - CBP), which included some courses that counted towards my Bachelor’s degree at UMKC even from the time I was still at APU. I feel that was valuable to me and to my classmates at that time as we were already prepared in terms of knowledge and class experience. Especially, in terms of knowledge, English language, communication skills – all of those that I learned from APU have been always supporting me during my undergraduate studies, postgraduate studies, and also professional careers. Besides, APU gave me different flexibilities where I could have options while completing my high school diploma compared to traditional Vietnamese high schools where students were not offered any flexibility in their studies.” - Tan shared proudly when asked about his high school in Vietnam.
Tan also gave advice to APU-ers that: “I would suggest utilizing all the resources that APU is offering, from different classes to take to experiencing all the programs offered by APU and AUV. When you have done those great, I have no doubt that you would be doing great when you study abroad in the United States, Canada, Australia, or any other countries as APU and AUV have prepared you strongly for the foundation of your academic career. Additionally, making professional connections is also another way to develop yourself. There are many great connections at APU and AUV from teachers to staff and occasionally there would be representatives from different universities coming to visit and you could definitely make some great connections from there – you would not know how they could help you in the future, so it is best to always making and maintaining connections.”
️We congratulate Tan Luong on his incredible milestone and we firmly believe that Tan’s career path will develop even further! Hopefully, this Tan’s success story will inspire many generations APU and AUV to pursue their dreams!
